More than Conquerors

Aug 9, 2026    Zach Terry

In Romans 8, Pastor Zach Terry explains what it truly means for believers to be “more than conquerors.” Even in a world marked by suffering, weakness, temptation, and uncertainty, our victory does not depend on our own strength. It rests in the work of God on our behalf.

In this sermon, you'll discover:

-What it means to be “more than conquerors” through Christ

-How the Holy Spirit intercedes when we don’t know what to pray

-Why Romans 8:28 doesn’t mean all things are good, but that God works all things together for good

-How God uses even suffering to conform believers to the image of Christ

-Why the finished work of Jesus gives us confidence that God is for us

-How nothing in all creation can separate believers from the love of God

Through the Prayer of the Spirit, the Providence of the Father, and the Payment of the Son, Romans 8 reminds us that the entire Trinity is at work in the believer’s victory. When you cannot understand what God is doing, you can still trust His heart and rest in the assurance that He will not let you go.
